BURLINGTON NEW MILLENNIUM ORCHESTRA

BNMO is a professional orchestra comprised of highly respected musicians and talented soloists whose performances are comparable to the Canadian Opera Company, Metropolitan Opera and Boston Pops, as well as being inspired by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

Specializing in broad-based non-classical performances, BNMO is genre-crossing. Our repertoire features Pops, Broadway, Jazz, Rock, and World Music, and many of the scintillating arrangements are penned personally by Conductor and Artistic Director Charles Cozens.

Charles Cozens is the driving force of the BNMO. A highly acclaimed arranger, composer and orchestrator, Maestro Cozens is best known for compelling symphony shows, featuring his arrangements for full orchestra, performed by artists that include Sir Elton John, Randy Bachman, The Nylons, Mark Masri and more.

Widely prolific, Charles Cozens has over 150 CDs to his credit as conductor, composer, arranger, pianist and producer and has been recognized by the International Conductors Guild as a leading expert on orchestral conducting in the recording environment.

QUARTETTO GELATO

Quartetto Gelato is a must-see, multi-talented, internationally renowned quartet. Like the frozen dessert for which the group is named, this quartet delivers brightness and lightness combined with full-body substance in a variety of flavours.

Enjoy a taste of classical, salon and folk music punctuated by surprises. Envision the sizzling energy of gypsy music one minute and imagine yourself an opera aficionado the next. Be inspired by touching medleys, and lean back and laugh at comedic treatments of familiar tunes.

DAVID SCOTT CURRY

Special guest vocalist David Scott Curry is an internationally acclaimed opera singer who has been performing around the world for the past 20 years. He trained at the Royal Academy of Music and The National Opera Studio in the UK and has gone on to sing in many of the world’s most prestigious Opera houses, Concert venues and festivals. His diverse career has had him working with many inspiring artists from the world of Opera, Art, and Film.

ARLENE DUNCAN

Arlene Duncan is a Canadian singer, songwriter and award-winning actress who has worked extensively in theatre, television, radio and film, but is perhaps best known for her role as Fatima Dinssa on the hit CBC series “Little Mosque on the Prairie”. She was also recognized as Female Vocalist of the Year at the Canadian Black Music Awards and received an African Canadian Achievement Excellence in Arts award.

Duncan‘s theatre credits include the Dora Award-winning production of Ain‘t Misbehavin, and the Tony award-winning musical ―Caroline or Change. The multitalented Duncan has appeared in many commercials and sang jingles for McDonald‘s and Pepsi.
